Desheng Sports Center Swimming Pool in Shunde, Foshan

As one of the core venues for the 15th National Games, Desheng Sports Center in Shunde, Foshan, is a key construction project in Guangdong Province and a shining diamond of the cultural and sports industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. LASWIM provided the design for the pool water treatment solution, equipment supply, and construction services for this project.

The swimming pool is equipped with two 50-meter-long international standard swimming pools: the competition pool and the warming-up pool. Both are designed with the countercurrent circulation systems to ensure uniform water distribution in the pool. The overflow channels are used to efficiently purify the surface water and suspended solids.

LASWIM has introduced the AOP (Advanced Oxidation Disinfection) technology in the Desheng Swimming Pool project. Through the reaction of superoxide (O₃) and photon catalysis, highly active hydroxyl radicals (·OH) are generated, which instantly decompose organic substances and bacteria in the water. The disinfection efficiency is hundreds of times higher than that of mere chlorine disinfection. The problem of “stinging chlorine water” in traditional swimming pools has been completely resolved here!

       Safe and harmless: There is no longer any pungent chlorine smell, nor any harmful residues such as chloramines or trihalomethanes. There is no irritation in the eyes, skin or respiratory tract when swimming, truly achieving zero burden.

Effectiveness and endurance: The germicidal ability of hydroxyl radicals is 2.8 times stronger than that of chlorine. Even microorganisms resistant to chlorine can be easily inactivated. At the same time, residual chlorine is stabilized within the international standard range, ensuring both cleanliness and peace of mind.

Environmentally friendliness: Significantly reduces the use of chemical agents, leaving only carbon dioxide, water and oxygen in the end. This makes the pool water more like natural water, clearer and healthier, contributing to true environmental protection.
