The Swimming Pool of Chongqing Raffles City Hotel

The Raffles Plaza in Chongqing, also known as “The Sail of Chongqing”, stands on the landmark of Chaotian Gate where the Yangtze River and the Jialing River meet. It is hailed as “The Rising Sail of Chongqing”. Throughout the entire Raffles Plaza in Chongqing, there are over twenty water body landscapes and swimming pools. Among them, the most representative one is the sky-high endless pool created by LASWIM, which is located on the 250m-high “Sail of Chongqing” and has become a dazzling landmark for leisure and sightseeing experiences in Chongqing.

Given the unique form of the project, its location at a height of 250m, and the high requirements for the supporting engineering of the building structure, as well as the complex combination methods of steel structures, reinforced concrete, and glass curtain walls on site, the requirements for the early design and construction coordination are extremely high. All units need to cooperate closely. LASWIM, relying on advanced water treatment technology and rich engineering experience, successfully presented an water system landscape that combines comfort and eco-friendliness at a great height.

The crystal bridge garden water landscape system consists of an endless swimming pool and a garden spa water landscape. Endless pool swimming pool area: It includes an 413.7㎡ adult pool and a 47.5㎡ children’s pool, with a total water volume of 543.5m³ and a water depth of 0.5~1.2m. The system adopts counter-flow circulation process with  side-stream ozonation, supported by adsorption tank and salt chlorine generator. It is also integrated with intelligent control and building management systems connectivity to ensure consistent water quality and operational safety.

Garden spa water feature: The spa water feature section is equipped with water light effects, small waterfalls, and water play scenes. The swimming pool area features a hot spring garden, with a water surface area of 66.8㎡, a depth of 0.55m, and a total water volume of 36.7m³. The spa water feature is equipped with facilities such as bubble boxes,spa beds, and massage nozzles. All circulation pumps have backup pumps, and emergency stop buttons for the pumps are configured. An additional emergency stop button is located near the lifeguard.
